PET PORTRAIT COMMISSIONS

I generally undertake pet portraits in pastel pencil. If you would prefer coloured pencils, just let me know at the time of booking and I will advise of any additional costs involved (coloured pencil portraits take a little longer than pastel pencils to produce).

In order to book a commission, I take a 50% deposit, simply fill out the ‘contact me’ form below so we can discuss your portrait.

Once paid, the deposit is non-refundable unless an unlikely event prevents me from doing your piece. The balance will be due upon completion.

At the time of booking, I will give you an approximate timescale of when you can expect your portrait. Nearer the time I will give you an accurate start date. From the date of the booking to your expected start date it is worth trying to get some good portraits (see photography tips below).

Please note that in order to do the piece justice I can only work from good quality photos and reserve the right to turn down anything I do not deem suitable.

Prices

7” x 9.5” (single head portrait for one subject): £150

10” x 12” (single head and shoulder portrait for one subject): £200

14” x 20” (single or double head and shoulder pet portrait. Single full body pet portrait): £250

Note: these are guideline prices only - if you have a different size or format in mind then send me a message and I’ll do my best to arrange it for you! I can confirm prices once we have fixed the exact requirements of the portrait.
 

PET PORTRAIT - PHOTO TIPS!

It is best to use a camera as opposed to a mobile phone camera (camera phones are ok if it one of a high spec).

  • Take photos of your animal outside in a natural light.

  • Try to get on your pets level (eye level) and make sure that the picture is fully in focus and there isn’t ‘flash’ in their eyes.

  • Make sure you send the photos in their original format (don’t crop or edit the photos) as this can decrease the size and resolution of the image.

  • Send the image as an attachment.

Ultimately the decision is yours on what pose / look you want from your animal as you know that certain personality they have and what portrays them best!
 


DELIVERY

All artworks are dispatched within 3-7 working days. UK orders are sent via 1st class signed for delivery. Overseas orders are sent by recorded airmail and may take longer. 

RETURNS

We hope you love your original art piece or print as much as we do but if you change your mind simply email Chantelle at hello@chantelleschulz.co.uk within 14 days and we can arrange an exchange or return.
